growing together
our
story
Hello! We’re Haeli and Darryl, your microgreen farmers from the mountains of Western Maryland. We grow nutrient-dense microgreens and edible flowers using organic practices, good for the environment and good for you! After working with top chefs and Michelin-star restaurants in Washington, D.C., we brought our craft home to the Deep Creek Lake area.
Since 2020, we’ve focused on sustainable, indoor growing that maximizes quality, cleanliness, and biodiversity. Every step of our process is centered on long-term eco-friendliness and exceptional flavor.
You’ll find our microgreens featured throughout Harvest House, our bar, bistro, coffee shop, and restaurant, adding freshness and creativity to our bowls, brunch, bites, and cocktails.
our
mission

Our Mission is to connect the community to their food in an elevated way. At Harvest House, we emphasize locally grown food and product in every dish. Stop in for a drink, a bite, a peek into our on-site microgreen grown operation, and a good time.
With our in house dining and grab-and-go options, enjoy on site or in the comfort of your own home.
Whether you're a seasoned foodie, a budding chef, or simply looking to add some pizzazz to your cooking routine, microgreens pack a big punch and are guaranteed to take your cooking up a notch. So why not give them a try and see what all the fuss is about? Your taste buds (and your family) will thank you!
our
produce

Microgreens are essentially ‘baby versions’ of your favorite leafy greens. Microgreens are usually harvested 7-21 days after germination when the plant’s first leaves (cotyledon leaves) emerge. Just like a seed contains a very high density of energy and minerals, microgreens contain a high concentration of nutrients and flavor. Because they are so young, they contain a condensed amount of vitamins and minerals that not only make them tasty but also a great source of plant-based nutrition.
We grow many different kinds of microgreens that all offer different nutritional benefits. Whether you are a chef, avid home cook, or casual eater, try some microgreens to add the perfect punch of excitement and nutrition to your next plate.
